Haley

Yes, Patrick Motola Photography does Seniors!  We generally push a bit more on the fashion shoot dimension while still getting great outdoor portraits and having as much fun as we can.  We had such a great time during Haley’s shoot at the Arboretum.    My wife Nancy and I have known Pam (Haley’s Mom) for over 25 years.  In fact we just returned from 2 weeks in Italy with Pam and her husband Tony.  I also had the pleasure of shooting Pam’s wedding in July.  Anyway, I was honored when Haley asked me to shoot her Senior pictures.   As with all our sessions, we had talked earlier about what to wear and the types of images Haley wanted.  Haley wanted boots and a cowboy hat to be part of the shoot and brought a couple of outfits.  The Arborteum is a wonderful place to shoot.  Green all year long, plenty of fun backgrounds all close to one another.  The large pond at the bottom, the views, etc.  When we shoot, we are looking for great lighting and backgrounds.  You can see in these shots where we often put the sun behind as a hairlight.  Once we have a setup, we let Haley be herself along with a few suggestions as well as just joking around so we are relaxed and get real expressions.  .

Kris and Jesse Engagement

After the beautiful drive to Mike and Peggy’s house (Jesse’s parents) in Horseshoe Bay, Kris, Jesse, Mike, Peggy and I spent time finalizing what they wanted in their engagement shoot.  We also discussed their upcoming wedding on November 5th (come back to see these images toward the end of November!).  With Mike and Peggy’s assistance, we stopped at several locations in Horseshoe Bay including one of the golf courses, the gardens at the Marriott and then the Yacht Club.  Ironically, we were running just ahead of a wedding that said their vows on the golf course where we were shooting and then had their reception at the Marriott.  The golf shots were fun and we had a spectacular sunset.  We created a beautiful guest book from this shoot.  Can’t wait for the wedding!

Nancy & Daniel

This wedding is a great example of Patrick Motola Photography bringing all our expertise in postprocessing and albums to our clients even when I am not personally available.  When Nancy and Daniel first approached me, I already knew I would be in Italy for my anniversary on their wedding date.   Addison is the other primary photographer at Patrick Motola Photography and she is simple outstanding in every way.  Photographic skill, great with clients, professional, fun, energetic.  So Addison did the shooting for the engagement, bridal and wedding.  Amanda Cook did 2nd photographer duties covering some preparation and the ceremony (this is an option we offer clients who don’t need a 2nd photographer for the entire reception.  And I handled working with Nancy and Daniel on planning and all postprocessing.  We did a unique guest book for Nancy as well as 20 x 30 bridal print.  Nancy and Daniel had a beautiful wedding at St. Catherines of Sienna followed by their reception at One World Theater.

Krissy & Carlos Wedding

Wow! What a wonderful wedding. Most guests and the priests flew in from New York (Buffalo area). The entire weekend began with a Welcome Party “Texas Style” at the Zilker Clubhouse.  The reception was at One World Theater.  All beautifully coordinated by Valerie Miller and Patricia Byrne of Valerie Miller Events.  It was also great to work with Sarah and Jason Rude from JR Digital Video again. They are great (and are soon to be parents by the way!). The wedding day began at 11am with Addison getting images of Krissy and the bridesmaids getting ready while I was capturing images of Carlos and the Groomsmen at his condo. Then off to St. Ignatius for the wedding.  It was a wonderful ceremony.  After group shots and some shots of the new couple, we have the luxury of having the entire bridal party on their own bus for pictures. First we went to St. Edwards to get some beautiful shots against the main building and the Austin Skyline. Then off to the Long Center for more fun shots. And then finally to One World Theater for the Reception. Incredible decorations with activities inside and outside under the tent. The Eggmen provided “Beatles” era live music that had the place rocking.
